In this post, we'll delve into the complexities of this distinguished fellowship program, looking at the internship phase, mentorship, and meaningful assignments that mold India's future leaders.
The Yuva Bhagidari Fellowship is a beacon of hope and transformation for Indian youth who want to make a difference in society and politics. This fellowship is more than simply a chance; it is a journey that develops individuals into well-rounded leaders capable of directing the country towards a brighter future. Prior to joining the Yuva Bhagidari Fellowship, I took part in the LAMP PRS and Gandhi Fellowship programs. and my article was chosen for this fellowship. These events sparked my interest in societal change and inspired me to pursue opportunities that coincided with my vision.
The Yuva Bhagidari Foundation's objective is to improve the representation of women and youth leaders in local government, legislative bodies, and the Parliament. The Foundation, via specific programs and initiatives, aspires to ensure Bhagidari (Participation and Partnership) of the youth in decision-making processes.
Our vision is to engage and determine the prospects of innovation and sustainability in the democratic discourse with the purpose of good governance. We intend to concentrate on the social and political goals of young people and female leaders. In India, youth and women account for 28% and 48.04% of the overall population, respectively, with only 6% representation in parliament.
The crucial foundation of the Yuva Bhagidari Fellowship lies within its immersive internship phase. This initial month-long period serves as a cornerstone, providing participants with a comprehensive grasp of the fellowship's aims, prerequisites, and anticipations. The curriculum, meticulously crafted, works to elevate participants' analytical, research, and communication competencies. It encompasses a diverse range of assignments, from individual and group projects to engaging video tasks.
This comprehensive learning expedition immerses participants in an experiential learning process, fostering their growth in multifaceted dimensions. The pinnacle of this transformative journey culminates in the final assignment—an intricate task of crafting a realistic political campaign presentation. Participants are entrusted with the challenge of harmonizing theoretical understanding with practical application, strategizing to connect with their audience while simultaneously navigating the intricate intricacies of real-world politics.
Throughout this transformative experience, I have had the privilege of sharing my reflections and insights through articles, offering a window into my journey, the obstacles I've encountered, and the revelations that underscore the growth catalyzed by the fellowship and its dynamic internship. Anticipation fills me as I look forward to the unfolding chapters of this enriching journey, spanning a comprehensive nine months of learning and transformation.
