Fear Of Female
In most female's life, the fear word is so common. because slowly fear become a part of our life. we lived in the 21st century but fear is still the same. whatever the fear may be, some are afraid of going out, some are of staying home, some are afraid of starting studies or something new, some are afraid of ending their old things/ relations, some are afraid to choose a career /job, some are afraid to go 1st day of school/college, some are afraid of giving their favorite toys to their older brother/sister, some are afraid that my daughter may not be born, some are afraid of its so late and daughter is not coming home, some are afraid that the dowry may not be less, some are afraid that his son may leave him and go, some are afraid of not seeing by someone they love the most.
Everyone has their own specific phobia. My fear is also the same as an individual. I am from a tiny middle-class household and when my father mentions my impending marriage, my heart starts to race like crazy. Next January, when I turn 25 according to Indian tradition, my age is perfect to get married. I discover that I have a dread of getting married as a result. I made the decision a long time ago that I truly don't want to think about marriage until I am financially independent, even if it sometimes seems like what I want doesn't matter. Let's discuss the various fears that women experience frequently and at least once in their lives.
FEAR BEFORE BIRTH
Female feticide has been occurring in various Indian states, which is the most horrible fact about India. There are various causes for this, but one of them is "beti paraya dhan hoti," or "people assume that daughters cannot carry on the father's legacies," among other things. The dread among females and moms is that if a girl child is born, society will kill her, and if society doesn't kill her, their parents would die because of her dowry. Abortion is the sole remaining option, and it accounts for 13% of maternal deaths. There is change, but more awareness has to be raised.
according to data from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)- 121 million births are unintentional per year worldwide.
ECONOMIC BARRIERS
I can promise you that money matters when it comes to paying your school fees and tuition because I am a woman and the first girl kid in my family. In my case, it is my option to attend a government school, but I observe similar situations when it comes to providing two children with a superior education: when given the choice between a girl or a boy, parents typically opt for a boy.
Girls are doing well in school, but when it comes to higher education, their representation is far lower than that of boys. India has one of the highest graduation rates of women worldwide, at 43% per year. yet, just 14% of women enroll in higher education. A girl experiences a lot of worries, for instance, when she receives her first period and her body begins to experience hormonal and biological changes. She is viewed differently by many people. She keeps her distance from people on the street, arrives home before dusk, avoids going to the market by herself, etc. many more instances of fear that we experience on a daily basis. We simply cannot imagine.
FEAR OF GROWING UP
1. As you age, your family members begin pressuring you to marry. Girls, not brides, claim that about 27% of girls get married before the age of 12. PM Narendra Modi recently increased the age at which girls can marry to 21. statistics revealed that there were more child marriages during the COVID-19 epidemic.
2. The majority of us are aware of the Nirbhaya rape case, which made all the ladies afraid to leave their homes and travel in private vehicles. The terrifying part is that I am not normal, yet this is now my new normal. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, crimes against women will total 4,28,278 lakh in 2021, including rape, rape and murder, domestic violence, kidnapping, forced marriage, and internet harassment.
3. According to statistics, one-third of women in South Asian nations endure violence at some point in their lives.
Covid-19 lockdown increased the violence at home/ fear at home
*Attack rises every month from 1411 to 2165
*Child marriages
*Domestic violence increased 2 times,
*Mental harassment etc.
FEAR OF BECOMING A MOM
In 2021, India's female labour force participation rate will be 19.23%. Many females give up their occupations to raise their children after becoming mothers; According to The Atlantic 43% of women give up their careers it's because of their family. If I have children, I also want to raise them, but I also need to go back to work because it's crucial for every woman to be able to support herself financially. because you become a free soul when you are self-sufficient. This is an initial step towards overcoming your fear.
Finally, I just want to emphasize that we should never forget what has happened but also what we can accomplish. Allowing things to go is difficult, but you'll never go back once you've done it. We are starting to construct a meaningful life together today. Face your fear and praise it because, when we look at fear from another angle, we understand that it teaches us to defend ourselves.
